Yesterday I took my daughter to see Kung Fu Panda 2. The message of the story was: to be fulfilled, you must find inner peace. At the end of the film, Poh the Panda makes a wise discovery. He realizes that his past doesn’t matter, and he has a choice to be happy. He can choose his attitude. He discovers that he has spent a lot of useless energy worrying about his childhood. Once he discovers his past, he comes to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter at all. You choose who you are today. This was such a priceless message to share with my seven-year-old. No shock to anyone that knows me, it brought tears to my eyes. We all have made ‘mistakes’ in the past, but that label doesn’t serve us. We have acquired learning experiences, and life lessons. Once we can release our-self from judgement, we can enjoy the magic of the moment, and vow to love more, live more, and appreciate more. As Poh the Panda says, the past doesn’t matter. The only thing that is real is the present moment…so find inner peace, and live it well!
